Smoothies can sabotage a diet in a big-big hurry.  Most people don’t realize the number of calories they toss into the blender and consume in less than 5 minutes.  And since there’s no chewing, people are often hungry soon after, so they eat again.  Liquid calories DO COUNT!  So choose wisely and measure the additions with which you blend.

Mocha-Coco Protein Shake

I love coconut and I love mocha.  Put them together and you have one of my favorite things!

  • Prep Time : 5 minutes
  • Cook Time : 1 minutes
  • Yield : 1


Melt your chocolate brownie coconutter from Sweet Spreads and dip the rim of your glass into it.  Sprinkle with coconut and cacao nibs.  Place the remaining ingredients in a blender with 6-8 ice cubes and blend to reach your desired consistency.  Sprinkle with more coconut and any leftover Sweet Spreads, which hardens like magic shell!
